The city prides itself on its second name, Cowtown, or “cow town.” There’s a lot to do with livestock here, the famous cattle yards are still in operation, and large herds are driven to them every year along Exchange Avenue. The beautiful stables, zoological park, and Heritage Park are also worth seeing.

The idea to build a common port for Dallas and Fort Worth emerged in the late 1920s. The cities, which were 50 kilometers apart, were called twin brothers. They grew and developed in sync. But each of the “brothers” dreamed of their own airport.
At an equal distance from competing cities, a common airport was built for $700 million and assigned an index, so the U.S. postal system perceives it as a separate city. The area of its structures is more than 70 km², which exceeds the area of Manhattan. In addition, it is the only port with seven runways. Four planes can take off and three land at the same time.
You can use our car service to book a car from the airport FW.
